About the role

Lead for planning, execution, and continuous improvement of dangerous goods policies, controls, and processes to ensure safe, compliant, and scalable transportation of dangerous goods across air, ocean, and ground networks. Partners with regulators, carriers, and internal teams to drive safety, compliance, and scalable growth for Starlink transportation models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve DG policies, procedures, and controls for air, ocean, and ground transportation
  • Serve as subject matter expert on IATA, 49 CFR, IMDG, and related DG regulations
  • Conduct internal audits of processes and documentation to ensure full regulatory compliance
  • Drive scalable solutions and metric-based continuous improvement that reduce risk and support business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, industry associations, and key partners
  • Partner with senior leadership across organizations to align policy, risk posture, and operational controls
  • Support new business opportunities and transportation models with clear regulatory guidance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing air, ground, and ocean dangerous goods shipments
  • 3+ years of experience with U.S. and international DG regulations and import/export compliance
  • Current valid certifications: DOT, IATA, and IMDG
