About the role

Meta seeks an experienced Site Logistics Operations Specialist to own and drive data centre field and warehouse operations strategy and execution across the EMEA portfolio, operating with high autonomy and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable logistics improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end logistics operations at the assigned Data Centre, ensuring activities meet IBOS 4S standards (Safety, Security, SOX Compliance, Stakeholders) and proactively identify systemic risks
  • Develop and drive the operational strategy for site logistics, defining the 'what' and 'why' beyond task execution
  • Lead without direct authority: plan, coordinate, and hold third-party logistics provider leads accountable for performance across inventory accuracy, movement, distribution, server rack movements, shipping/receiving, and emerging requirements
  • Author and champion org-wide process standards; maintain documentation for scalable logistics processes and policies; drive adoption across multiple sites
  • Identify systemic gaps and design scalable solutions standardising operations across Meta's global data centre portfolio
  • Build and sustain cross-functional partnerships with internal stakeholders (DC Ops, Capacity Planning, Finance, Procurement, Trade compliance) to influence roadmaps
  • Own the audit and compliance rhythm: monthly inventory controls audits, root-cause analysis, and SOX compliance with minimal escalation
  • Support financial reporting requirements (monthly/quarterly/year-end) by proactive issue resolution
  • Serve as trusted advisor to IBOS leadership; translate requirements into actionable process improvements with data-backed recommendations
  • Drive inventory reconciliation strategy to identify risk, manage obsolescence, and reduce recurrence with repeatable frameworks
  • Escalate systemic field issues with proposed solutions and impact analysis to central logistics
  • Partner with field leads, vendors, and contract labour to implement new processes and coach through change management
  • Mentor and share knowledge with peer Site Logistics Operations Specialists to elevate team capability
  • Define and manage KPIs linking operational metrics to business outcomes and provide leadership with insights
  • Lead shared-solution development to address inconsistencies across sites and ensure sustainable adoption
  • Travel ~10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field — or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive logistics/operations experience with site-level or multi-site operations and third-party provider management
  • Track record of independently driving process improvements at scale
  • Proficiency with ERP, TMS, CMS, WMS (Oracle or equivalent), Excel, and analytics tools
  • Executive communication skills; ability to translate operational detail into strategic narratives for leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across cross-functional teams
