About the role

Account Manager responsible for existing customer accounts, focusing on upsell, retention, and expanding the value of Fonio's AI phone assistant across the customer lifecycle in a fast-scaling AI startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own the existing-customer portfolio with a focus on upsell & retention.
  • Identify and realise growth potential within existing accounts (expansion sales).
  • Conduct regular touchpoints, QBRs, and proactive support to maximise customer success.
  • Maintain structured account planning, clean CRM, and reliable revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to ensure smooth handovers and reliable forecasts.
  • Demonstrate and drive expansion revenue via upgrades, add-ons, and renewals.
  • Capture market feedback and bring it back to the team in a structured way.
  • Scope and manage onboarding and ensure customers derive maximum value from the product.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in B2B SaaS sales, account management, or customer success (startup/scale-up a plus).
  • Experience in upselling, renewals, or expansion revenue across existing customers.
  • Strong product and technology understanding; highly AI-savvy.
  • Structured working style, ownership mindset, and customer focus.
  • Native-level English, confident in calls, reviews & demos.
