About the role

Senior, externally facing role leading customer engagement for Dive-XL in Australia, aligning Australian requirements with the Dive-XL product roadmap and coordinating across Growth, Programs, Engineering, Contracts, and Legal to support autonomous undersea capability development.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Anduril’s engagement across the RAN, NSSG, and Commonwealth departments that shape, sponsor and fund the program, from capability sponsors through to operators who will take the vehicle to sea.
  • Support a disciplined cadence of briefings, capability forums, working groups and demonstrations across classified and unclassified environments to institutionalize Anduril’s standing with the customer.
  • Act as a principal channel between the customer and Anduril, conveying customer intent within the company and representing capability externally.
  • Contribute to the development of employment concepts and CONOPS for autonomous undersea capability in the Australian context, and to a shared understanding of how the RAN intends to operate the capability.
  • Distil operational analysis, threat assessments and customer intent into clear, prioritised capability needs, and provide input to the Dive-XL roadmap with product and engineering leadership.
  • Support the growth path from current contracts toward fleet scale, contributing to early requirement shaping and Commonwealth responses to market opportunities within the ASDEFCON framework.
  • Keep contract execution and customer commitments aligned to the capability roadmap, escalating misalignment early.
  • Support trials, demonstrations and milestone events to ensure accurate representation of what is demonstrated.
  • Represent Australian customer interests within the wider Dive-XL portfolio and carry lessons to US, AUKUS and allied engagement.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Programs, Support Systems, Test and Evaluation, Contracts, Growth and Communications to present a coherent Anduril to the customer.

Qualifications

  • Operational Background: Extensive RAN warfare experience with an operational record at sea; submarine background strongly preferred; Principal Warfare Officer with undersea warfare experience considered.
  • Navy Capability Experience: Experience in capability manager, force design, or requirements role, including developing/defending a capability requirement through Defence process.
  • Established Network: Existing network across Navy, Defence and Australian undersea enterprise; ability to build and sustain senior-level relationships.
  • Communication and Presence: Ability to establish trust quickly and communicate complex concepts to audiences from software engineers to flag officers.
  • International Experience: Allied exchange, coalition operations, or overseas posting with credibility alongside US/UK partners.
  • ASDEFCON Familiarity: Working knowledge of ASDEFCON environment and Commonwealth approaches to market; ability to review SOW and identify risks.
  • Technical Literacy: Depth to engage on autonomy, mission systems, payloads, undersea concepts; participate in trade-offs with engineering.
  • Commercial Judgement: Experience shaping scope, investment cases, and understanding how capability decisions become funded programs.
  • Pace and Ownership: High ownership, bias for action, ability to operate at Anduril pace in fast-moving environment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~30%, including trials and waterfront activity.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain NV2 clearance; TSPV desirable.
