About the role

Aprio invites high-performing accounting students to apply for the 2028 Spring (January–April) Audit Internship in Dallas, TX. This on-site program provides hands-on client work, exposure to complex accounting, tax, and assurance projects, mentorship, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills for a career in public accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with assurance engagements
  • Supporting teams in evaluating internal controls and financial reporting processes
  • Analyzing financial data and documentation to identify potential risks or areas for improvement
  • Participating in testing procedures and audit documentation
  • Collaborating with team members to help clients maintain compliance with evolving accounting standards
  • Potential travel to client sites

Qualifications

  • Accounting major pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • On track to meet CPA eligibility requirements with a clear plan to pursue CPA licensure
  • Interest in pursuing a full-time career in public accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to apply Excel skills in data analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
