About the role

Software Engineer role focused on bring-up and operation of Starlink Enterprise products (e.g., Plaser space laser, Community Gateway, Starlink Aviation). Involves designing and delivering software across embedded, backend, and UI layers with full software lifecycle responsibility in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant devices that operate for long periods of time with minimal maintenance for millions of users
  • Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews
  • Identify areas to improve the experience, reliability, and efficiency of the product
  • Develop prototypes and manage experiments to prove out key design concepts
  • Write quality linux based software for common processors and microcontrollers
  • Develop hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and testcases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or other STEM discipline
  • 1+ year of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience is acceptable)
