About the role

Senior Software Engineers independently drive the delivery of a variety of software integrated into Anduril’s maritime autonomous platforms, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control. They provide end-to-end ownership at major subsystem or system level and contribute as technical leads across the product life-cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Empathize with end-users and balance their needs with constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing value delivery
  • Design and implement scalable software delivering capabilities beyond current platforms with evolvable architecture
  • Contribute to design and development of reusable components across Anduril product lines
  • Develop software for on- and off- robotic platforms using diverse technologies
  • Design, implement and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring and operation
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software- and hardware-in-the-loop
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team and mentor Software Engineers from diverse backgrounds
  • Travel to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams up to 20% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive professional software engineering experience across domains/technologies
  • Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design and system design
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
  • Ability to work holistically across the software stack and lifecycle from design to sustainment
  • Ability to act as technical owner for a software service (requirements, roadmap, coordination, design, sustainment)
  • Capacity to learn and grow while mentoring junior teammates and building team cohesion
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
