About the role

Assembly Technician role at Weave Robotics, building, inspecting, and validating bimanual home robots from engineering drawings and build documentation. Two tracks available: mechanical assembly and electrical assembly (wire harness fabrication to IPC/WHMA-A-620). Collaborates with engineers to improve processes and scale production.

Responsibilities

  • Build complex electromechanical assemblies including mechanical structures, wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators, and other precision components; verify quality throughout build process.
  • Prototype through production participation on prototype, pilot, and production builds with high quality and efficiency.
  • Support bring-up activities including basic power-on, calibration, functional testing, and validation of completed robots.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine assembly methods, validate designs, and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Fabricate electrical assemblies (wire harnesses) to IPC/WHMA-A-620 quality levels: cutting, crimping, routing, terminating, soldering, with continuity and hipot checkout documented per serial number.
  • Maintain tools and workspaces to keep equipment organized, calibrated, and production-ready.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience assembling precision electromechanical products (robots, consumer electronics, medical devices, vehicles, drones, aerospace systems, or similar hardware).
  • Mechanical rigor with hand tools, torque drivers, fasteners, adhesives, wiring, and precision assemblies; craftsmanship mindset.
  • Ownership mindset with ability to identify bottlenecks, reduce defects, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
