About the role

Weld Support Technician responsible for plasma programming/operating, saw, and material movements, analyzing engineering drawings, and supporting welding operations at the Texas Test Site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plasma table programming and operate band saw/chop saw
  • Manually drilling and milling materials
  • Analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of cut parts
  • Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required
  • Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline processes, and collaborate with leaders to complete assignments
  • Work with leaders to complete assignments, solve problems, meet deadlines, and review issues for improvement
  • Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of experience with hand tools, band saws, or torch cutting in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment
