About the role

Electrical Engineer position at Sigma Defense in Huntsville, AL, focusing on RF technology, SDRs, and MIL-SPEC prototypes with Top Secret clearance sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • - Assist in the development of new RF technology/systems and provide existing product sustenance of MIL-SPEC compliant prototypes.
  • - Interact with customers and other engineers to develop designs for prototypes.
  • - Assist in developing modulation schemes based on customer input and test data.

Qualifications

  • - 1-2 years of experience with software defined radios.
  • - Experience in programming SDRs using GNURadio and Python.
  • - Intellectually agile and willing to learn new skills.
  • - Experience with SDRs, their programming and their use is a must.
  • - SDR experience can include hobbyist level SDRs to full high fidelity systems.
  • - Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
