About the role

Technical partnership manager leading collaborations with telecom providers to enable drone operations with reliable in-flight connectivity, build carrier partnerships, and drive regulatory and certification alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement our strategy for engaging with telecom carriers to deepen existing relationships and expand ecosystem domestically and internationally.
  • Understand customer needs and negotiate agreements with telecom carriers to enable network access, data connectivity, and sustainable partnerships.
  • Advocate for in-flight data connectivity by providing simple, easy-to-use connectivity options from first boot of a drone.
  • Build business models that support in-flight data access and monitor usage and costs to validate those models.
  • Set regulatory and telecom carrier certification priorities to ensure drones meet standards for regulators and operators.
  • Build field relationships between telecom partners and Skydio’s field team to support major events.
  • Assist Skydio mission success in supporting customers and major incidents.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record translating customer needs into priorities and driving implementation.
  • Ability to manage complex projects or business relationships and translate goals into actionable steps.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate plans across multiple organizations.
  • Technical background with engineering or technical degree or experience managing complex technical requirements.
  • Willingness to pursue FAA Part 107 certification within 60 days; required for certain positions.
