About the role

Technical role responsible for lifecycle management and operational excellence of advanced semiconductor manufacturing tools, with emphasis on wafer-level assembly equipment and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Lifecycle Management: Lead the evaluation, selection, procurement, set-up, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and the necessary facility infrastructures.
  • Advanced Tool Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert for advanced packaging and wafer-level assembly equipment, specifically handling back-grinders, stealth dicers, expanders, flip-chip bonders, pick-and-place systems, reflow ovens and solder paste printers
  • Uptime Optimization: Take overall ownership of maintaining high equipment up-time and proactively minimizing unscheduled down-time across the production floor.
  • Maintenance Strategy: Design, implement, and execute highly effective periodic and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment to ensure consistent operational efficiency and yield.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining advanced packaging and wafer-level assembly equipment.
  • Proven track record of defining equipment specifications, driving vendor selection, and completing successful machine buy-offs (FAT/SAT).
  • Strong analytical skills for root-cause analysis of equipment failures and the ability to implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Experience establishing predictive maintenance protocols in a high-tech manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
