About the role

Firmware engineer role focused on real-time microcontroller development, driver creation, and cross-disciplinary debugging for Anduril’s Connected Warfare hardware used in field deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Write firmware in C for microcontrollers across Connected Warfare platforms
  • Develop and integrate reusable device drivers for sensors, peripherals, and communication interfaces
  • Debug issues that span electrical, firmware, and software boundaries using bench tools and embedded debugging techniques
  • Support board bring-up alongside the Electrical Engineering team — reviewing schematics, validating interfaces, and getting new hardware running
  • Contribute to firmware architecture decisions as the codebase grows
  • Ship code to production systems that are deployed in the field

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 1+ years of firmware or embedded software development experience (internships and personal projects count if the work is real)
  • Solid C coding ability for embedded systems
  • Experience developing firmware in bare-metal or RTOS environments
  • Familiarity with common bus protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, or similar)
  • Willingness to learn — you don't need to know everything, but you need to be hungry to figure it out
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
