About the role

Finance role supporting R&D initiatives and product/business units through quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and cost/value optimization for Anduril's engineering and manufacturing functions.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects end-to-end, from Definition, Solution, to Implementation, including handling ambiguous problems and delivering scalable solutions
  • Execute scrappy analyses on short timelines while developing scalable long-term solutions
  • Project manage across many stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration (Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Work across functions to learn business top-to-bottom and interact with multiple teams
  • Own detailed financial models end-to-end, from data gathering to presenting to stakeholders
  • Build P&L models for different products, business lines, divisions, and acquisitions
  • Create novel frameworks for operational decision-making (facilities, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.)
  • Establish transparency into material costs for existing and future products
  • Build cost target models and collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain on cost reduction roadmaps
  • Support executives in evaluating tradeoffs between product features, costs, and profitability
  • Red-team engineering plans from a financial/business perspective

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or finance at a high growth hardware company
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Strong analytical aptitude with a numeric mindset
  • Ability to quickly execute analyses in Excel
  • Ability to quantify complex, often ambiguous problems
  • Willingness to learn corporate systems (e.g., Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytics/dashboarding tools (e.g., Palantir Foundry)
  • Comfortable communicating to large groups and senior leadership
  • Adaptability to flexible schedules and remote collaboration (Slack, evenings)
  • U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information or facilities
