About the role

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Clarksville, TN. In-person role supporting children with autism and developmental disorders under BCBA supervision, using ABA techniques to implement behavior intervention plans and promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect and record data on the child's progress and behavior during sessions.
  • Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across different environments.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to special education and applied behavior analysis.

Qualifications

  • RBT certification is required.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is preferred.
  • Experience with high-aggression youth is highly desired; willingness to work with this population is a must.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and ABA terminology is essential.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices is required.
  • Experience in behavior management strategies and ABA techniques is a plus.
  • Background in special education or related fields is beneficial.
