About the role

Senior Accounting Associate in Aprio's Technology CAS team (Philippines) supporting crypto and e-commerce clients with day-to-day bookkeeping, crypto transactions, monthly closings, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients.
  • Understand and perform cryptocurrency transactions (buying, selling, swaps, wrapping) and reconcile wallets to on-chain balances.
  • Review and manage processing of bills/receipts in fiat and cryptocurrency via third-party applications (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Dext).
  • Review monthly amortization of prepaid expenses and depreciation of client assets.
  • Review payroll journal entries from payroll software or manual entries.
  • During month-end closing, review reconciliation pages, update working papers, and post adjusting entries; review financial reports with trend analysis and cash runway as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, laws, and regulations for digital assets and ensure client compliance.
  • Thorough review of team members’ work and suggest adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in the BPO industry
  • Experience using payroll software, XERO and QBO required
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
  • Experience handling clients involving cryptocurrency transactions preferred
  • Licensed CPA is an advantage
  • Ability to lead and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Amenable to hybrid work arrangement
  • Open to dayshift with flexibility to accommodate other shifts when needed
