About the role

Quality inspector focused on precision machining for aerospace components, performing surface plate inspections, CMM programming with PC-DMIS, in-process and final inspections, and supporting continuous improvement within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace parts
  • Inspect supplied product according to drawings/work orders to verify conformance
  • Perform complex inspections following standardized methods
  • Complete in-process, visual and/or dimensional inspection of precision machined parts
  • Interact proactively with production to improve products and reduce defects
  • Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues
  • Document non-conformances per procedures and processes
  • Support quality management system policies, assess compliance, initiate and lead continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Utilize PC-DMIS programming skills with DCC CMMs in a cross-functional environment
  • Create, maintain and verify CMM programs for measurements of manufactured and supplied parts
  • Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience
