About the role

The Fluids Systems Technician builds, installs, and troubleshoots fluid systems in support of SpaceX’s Starship production facility, providing feedback to engineers on operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install fluid system components from schematics or engineering drawings (stainless steel/aluminum piping, ball/check valves, pressure regulators, sensors/gauges)
  • Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, data sheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches
  • Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment
  • Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors
  • Complete necessary wiring of the electrical ground support equipment for ground systems
  • Perform high pressure liquid and pneumatic testing
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-urgency operational issues found during activation or production usage of fluid systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience using mechanical and/or electronics hand tools
  • 3+ years of experience with pipe fitting and fabrication
