About the role
Senior engineering leader based in Burnaby, responsible for the output and growth of a ~10-person engineering team across growth engineering, B2B/enterprise delivery, DevOps/SRE, data engineering, and sensitive production systems. Acts as a player-coach, sets standards, and leads the on-site engineering organization with global collaboration.
Responsibilities

- Own delivery across the site's domains — and stay in the work. Lead growth, pricing, experimentation, monetization, and supporting systems; review designs, challenge architecture, unblock hard problems, and contribute hands-on when needed.
- Hold the dotted lines without holding the org chart. Coordinate with Platform/SRE, security, and B2B engineering while maintaining leadership support and consistent standards.
- Partner globally. Collaborate daily with Mountain View, Shanghai, Chengdu teams and Burnaby product/CX teams; represent Vancouver’s engineering voice in company decisions.
