About the role

Senior technical leader in Data Infrastructure at Meta, shaping scalable data storage, processing, and analytics platforms. Lead cross-organizational data-infrastructure efforts, define architecture and technical direction, and mentor engineers while leveraging AI-native workflows to improve system design and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the long-term technical vision and architecture for critical systems infrastructure spanning multiple engineering organizations, ensuring designs are reliable, scalable, and built to stand the test of time
  • Identify and solve the hardest systems-level engineering problems across the stack, including cross-boundary and cross-team challenges
  • Establish extensible architectural foundations, coding standards, and systems design principles
  • Lead the evolution of core technology stacks and plan complex migrations in high-scale environments
  • Define and operationalize performance targets, reliability guardrails, and quality standards at ecosystem scale
  • Develop invariants and systemic defenses that prevent reliability, security, and correctness issues
  • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and cross-functional leaders to translate requirements into durable systems solutions
  • Mentor and develop engineers into cross-functional technical leaders and contribute to recruiting
  • Apply AI-native workflows to accelerate systems design and engineering efficiency
  • Define new metrics and measurement frameworks linking technical outcomes to organizational priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in systems software engineering with large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience architecting and owning critical systems at global scale with impact on reliability and efficiency across multiple teams
  • Experience leading multi-year technical strategy and roadmap development with cross-organizational alignment
  • Experience identifying and resolving systemic bugs, performance regressions, or reliability issues across systems
  • Experience influencing technical direction and engineering culture across large organizations and establishing standards
