About the role
Role within Meta's Reality Labs in Redmond, WA focusing on research and development of computer vision and machine perception techniques for wearables and VR products, with opportunities to collaborate across RL and FAIR to address real-time image processing, 3D graphics, SLAM, scene reconstruction, and human interaction.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel factory and online calibration algorithms for sensors and displays. Design and prototype automation for calibration in collaboration with mechanical engineers and prototyping technicians
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams from Reality Labs in computer vision and graphics
- Participate in advanced research in computer vision that can be applied to Wearables and VR product development
- Work with other engineers to bring new products to market
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical culture within your team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience (degree completed before joining Meta)
- 2+ years of experience developing and designing Computer Vision and Perception algorithms for robotics technologies and systems
- Experience in C++ development
- Prototyping and engineering experience in at least one relevant specialization area in Computer Vision or Perception for Robotics: Camera Calibration, Online Calibration, State Estimation, Sensor Fusion, 3D Reconstruction, Camera Pose Estimation, Structure-From-Motion
