  • Design and maintain mission data center and site networks per company standards; collaborate with adjacent infrastructure and enterprise teams.
  • Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including switches, firewalls, multiplexing and SDWAN appliances.
  • Contribute to network automation tooling; implement configuration analysis, linting, and scalability into deployment framework.
  • Plan and coordinate network outage windows with stakeholders for software updates, hardware refreshes, and maintenance (weekends/evenings possible).

  • Provide direct networking support during launch/test campaigns and be on-call during operations.
  • Tailor network monitoring to improve operational telemetry and issue detection.
  • Create and update network documentation (architecture overviews, design drawings, procedures).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve potential network design issues and cascading failure modes.
  • Perform job walks with customers/vendors/contractors to gather requirements and create implementation plans.
  • Ensure networks comply with industry/cybersecurity standards (ITAR, ISO, NIST) with emphasis on segmentation and security.
  • Design and validate resilient, scalable multi-site OT network topologies for critical facilities.
  • Audit and enforce zero-trust firewalls to decouple facility infrastructure from corporate DMZ.
  • Author architecture drawings, IP/VLAN schemes, and data flow diagrams.
  • Support on-site deployment, network cutovers, and new site commissioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 5+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of hands-on OT networking, critical facility infrastructure, industrial automation, or controls engineering experience.
