About the role

Security Operations role on Anduril's Detection and Response team focused on monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and developing detection and response capabilities for Anduril's defense technologies in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to alerts / incidents across phishing, endpoints, cloud infrastructure and services, and SaaS applications
  • Build and optimize tailored detection signatures, response playbooks, and response automation using detection-as-code principles
  • Lead the feedback loop for detections to reduce false positives as frontline of DNR
  • Participate in threat modeling with cross-functional partners and translate findings into security controls/detection signatures
  • Organize and conduct threat hunting and data baselines to identify anomalous patterns
  • Participate in on-call rotation, lead incident response investigations, and act as incident commander as necessary
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts; collaborate with stakeholders to improve detection and response maturity

Qualifications

  • Experience in security monitoring, log analysis, and detection engineering across endpoint, network, and diverse application log sources
  • Experience in Python development contributing to shared codebase for automating SOC operations
  • Experience with SIEM languages (SPL, KQL, SQL)
  • Experience conducting analysis in a data lake environment
  • Broad security knowledge across endpoint, network, identity, application, and cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge of attacker TTPs across Windows, Linux, MacOS, AWS/Azure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance
