About the role

Wargame Designer role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with initial placement in London, UK, focused on researching, designing, and executing operationally relevant wargames and training simulations for defense clients, leveraging Anduril’s modeling/simulation tools and AR/VR platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop operationally relevant wargames within the Air Maneuver Dominance / Advanced Capabilities team, translating customer objectives into immersive wargames built in Anduril’s modeling/simulation tools and AR/VR software; own scenario design end-to-end.
  • Run and facilitate in-depth multi-day Wargaming Exercises as the designer and control cell lead, driving gameplay, adjudicating outcomes, and adapting scenarios in real time to align with learning objectives.
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of wargame scenarios, models, and content in Anduril M&S and AR/VR software, enabling rapid configuration and scaling from demonstrations to large exercises.
  • Design and implement structured After-Action Reviews and feedback loops to identify improvements to scenarios, adjudication logic, and event delivery.
  • Provide input to product and engineering teams to enhance wargaming and mission simulation features, advocating for tools and content designers need.
  • Support end-users in understanding advanced warfare concepts through wargame content development and effective event delivery.
  • Develop and contribute to a cross-functional Advanced Capabilities team to improve how wargames are designed, delivered, and learned from across small demos and large exercises.

Qualifications

  • - Proven experience designing, developing, and running wargames or structured analytic exercises for diverse clients and environments (primary focus on Air Maneuver Dominance; secondary across other lines).
  • - Strong communication skills across internal teams, platforms, and clients.
  • - Experience with scenario design, complex problem solving, rehearsals, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • - Eligible to obtain and maintain country background check and security clearance.
  • - Willingness to travel, be based in the UAE, and collaborate with teams in the UK and USA.
