About the role

Technical Operations Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with initial assignment in London, UK, supporting Anduril’s Advanced Capabilities team with immersive AR/VR wargaming, simulation, and hardware-software deployments for regional customers including EDGE and the Emirati Ministry of Defense.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a customer-facing capacity within the Air Maneuver Dominance / Advanced Capabilities team, working with EDGE and the Emirati Ministry of Defense to deploy Anduril integrated hardware-software products.
  • Support delivery of contract deliverables: plan, set up, configure and test equipment and software for immersive wargaming simulation and AR demonstrations.
  • Support multi-day Wargaming Exercises: planning, deployment, and recovery of AR/VR hardware and software; troubleshoot in field environments; follow up with software providers.
  • Own deployment of AR/VR, gaming engine, and mission simulation software and hardware at demonstrations, exercises, and wargames; identify and solve issues with minimal external support.
  • Design and implement user feedback loops and After Action Reviews; troubleshoot AR/VR headsets, laptops, software, and network equipment.
  • Provide input to product and engineering teams to improve features and configurations for Virtual Warfare products.
  • Support end-users with content development and integration into systems; deliver events that maximize engagement and understanding of advanced warfare concepts.
  • Develop and contribute to cross-functional Advanced Capabilities team, refining user engagement systems, issue tracking, training, and preparation for events.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with diverse clients and teams in operational environments with strong customer service focus.
  • Effective communication skills internally and externally across multiple platforms and organizations.
  • Strong problem solving, proactive planning, rehearsals, and troubleshooting; high attention to detail and readiness before customer engagement.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain country background check and security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel, be based in UAE, and collaborate with UK and USA teams.
