About the role
Software Engineer role at throxy, a London-based AI startup building vertical AI agents for B2B outbound, responsible for end-to-end delivery from design to production including data model, migrations, production instrumentation, and metrics.
Responsibilities
- Design the data model, ship the migrations, instrument production, watch the metric move
- Work on Maestro, the in-house dialer with Elixir core and real-time calling infrastructure
- Develop the data engine (provider waterfalls, LLM qualification/evaluation pipelines, self-healing lead dataset, scoring for call order)
- Develop the intelligence layer (post-call insights and call-outcome classification)
- Replace off-the-shelf tools with in-house solutions
- Own measurable outcomes tied to business KPIs (Meetings Booked) and ship end-to-end without a PM
- Ship features for high-load, production-grade systems with real-time monitoring and rapid iteration
Qualifications
- 3+ years of production software engineering at a high-velocity company (6+ years for senior scope)
- Deep TypeScript and modern web infra (Next.js, Bun, Postgres, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, AWS)
- Experience building systems under real load
- Experience shipping real LLM features: prompt design, evals, structured outputs, agentic workflows
- Ability to handle ambiguous problems without PM handholding
- Strong written communication for design docs
- Bias to action and shipping a working v1 today
- In-person in London, 5 days a week (Piccadilly) or UK-based / relocation readiness
