About the role

Legal internship at Clinikally, a dermatology-focused telemedicine platform in India, with responsibilities spanning end-to-end legal documentation, corporate and startup law, regulatory compliance, healthcare legal compliance, due diligence, research, and stakeholder support.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Legal Documentation & Execution - Drafting, review, negotiation support, execution, record management, and post-execution compliance.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of agreements, contracts, policies, statutory records, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.
  • Corporate, Commercial & Startup Law - Assist in governance, secretarial compliance, and commercial contracting; support incorporation, structuring, shareholder arrangements, fundraising documentation, ESOP frameworks, and exit-related documentation; assist in due diligence for investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic transactions.
  • Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Legal Compliance - Support licensing, regulatory approvals, marketing practices, distribution, labeling, and quality-related documentation; monitor lifecycle compliance; track regulatory changes affecting pharmaceutical operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Due Diligence - Identify applicable laws, prepare compliance checklists, regulatory filings, disclosures, audit support; support due diligence and risk analysis with reports; ensure sector-specific regulations (e.g., SEPC, IFC) are followed.
  • Legal Research & Advisory Support - Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, compliance notes, issue trackers, and advisory memos under supervision.
  • Operational & Stakeholder Support - Coordinate with internal/external teams and authorities; maintain legal repositories, trackers, and calendars; ensure confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • 4th or 5th year law student from a reputed institute
  • Strong understanding of Contract Law, Corporate Law & related subjects
  • Interest in startup, healthcare & regulatory law
  • CS qualification (completed or pursuing) is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, proactive & comfortable in a fast-paced startup
