About the role
Lead Company Operations Manager in the COO Office at Fivetran + dbt Labs, owning Leadership Operations and the cadence of executive forums to ensure decisions are captured, tracked, and executed across Product, GTM, Finance, and Engineering. Hybrid Denver-based role focusing on board materials, ELT/SLT facilitation, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the integrated calendar of executive forums, planning cycles, and decision points.
- Improve the rhythm itself by identifying and proposing changes to duplicative or low-signal cadences.
- Ensure each forum has a clear purpose, owner, input set, and decision output while avoiding collisions or duplications.
- Lead end-to-end preparation of board materials, collaborate on underlying data, and manage ELT review cycles.
- Maintain a reliable source of truth for board and executive reporting metrics across Finance, GTM, and Product.
- Synthesize executive inputs into a decision-ready artifact and coordinate with the COO's Executive Assistant on logistics.
- Support ELT Strategy Days with topic selection, agendas, pre-reads, facilitation materials, and clean capture of decisions with owners and dates.
- Shape Strategy Days to focus on high-impact priorities and drive decisions to completion.
- Track and carry decisions from Strategy Days into subsequent sessions and ensure follow-through.
- Run weekly ELT meetings with agenda, pre-reads, facilitation materials, and decision capture; close loops with Strategy Days.
- Remove blockers, escalate early when needed, and demonstrate measurable outcomes from cadences.
- Lead and facilitate recurring engagement with the SLT (VPs and above) to keep leadership informed across the business.
- Take on ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives for the COO Office (~20% of capacity), framing and delivering them with clear success measures and ownership.
- Transition completed initiatives to permanent owners with sustainable documentation and mechanisms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in program management, business operations, strategy, or chief of staff roles supporting stakeholders up to senior executives.
- Experience owning executive or board-level forums: designing agendas, producing pre-reads, capturing decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
- Credible in the room with senior leaders; capable of growing into leading executive forums.
- Systems thinker with ability to design processes teams can run independently.
- Owner mentality with tolerance for ambiguity; proactive problem definition and outcome-driven delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication tailored for contributors, department leaders, and board audiences.
- Comfort with data, ad hoc analysis, and translating results into clear recommendations.
- Experience with program management tools and running multiple concurrent work streams.
