About the role

Lead Company Operations Manager for Fivetran + dbt Labs, focusing on Leadership Operations and the rhythm of executive forums, board prep, ELT/SLT engagement, and cross-functional strategic initiatives within the COO Office.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the integrated calendar of executive forums, planning cycles, and decision points.
  • Improve the rhythm by eliminating duplicative or low-signal cadences and proposing changes.
  • Ensure each forum has a clear purpose, owner, input set, and decision output to avoid collisions.
  • Own end-to-end preparation of board materials (storyline, data, review cycles) and maintain a reliable source of truth for board/executive reporting metrics.
  • Synthesize executive inputs into decision-ready artifacts (doc, model, or deck).
  • Partner with the COO's Executive Assistant for scheduling and logistics to keep content and logistics in lockstep.
  • Help run quarterly ELT Strategy Days (topic selection, agendas, pre-reads, materials, decision capture) and drive items to completion.
  • Shape Strategy Days around priorities that propel the business forward; carry decisions to completion with owners and teams.
  • Track and close the loop between weekly ELT meetings and Strategy Days, escalating blockers and ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Lead and facilitate recurring engagement with SLT (VPs and above) to leverage perspective and keep them informed.
  • Take on ambiguous cross-functional initiatives for the COO Office (roughly 20% of capacity) from framing to delivery.
  • Structure new work with clear charter, decision rights, stakeholders, and timeline; drive to measurable outcomes without formal authority.
  • Transition completed initiatives to permanent owners with documentation and sustaining mechanisms.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in program management, business operations, strategy, or chief of staff roles supporting senior executives.
  • Experience owning executive or board-level forums with agenda design, pre-reads, decisions, and follow-through.
  • Credible in the room with senior leaders; capable of growing into leading executive forums.
  • Systems thinker who designs repeatable processes.
  • Owner mentality with high tolerance for ambiguity and a bias to drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to tailor messages for contributors, leaders, and boards.
  • Comfort with data; able to perform ad hoc analysis and translate results into clear recommendations.
  • Experience with program management tools and managing multiple concurrent work streams.
