About the role

Commercial Counsel providing legal review and solutions-based counseling to cross-functional partners on complex US and international commercial and regulatory issues related to Starlink products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial agreements, including revenue-generating contracts, service terms, and complex commercial agreements related to the sale of satellite internet and satellite-to-mobile connectivity across various verticals (backhaul, enterprise, retail, resale, aviation, maritime)
  • Identify and mitigate legal risk by implementing processes, trainings, and controls for the Starlink enterprise sales team, product and growth team and customer support team
  • Provide legal analyses of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance, particularly in consumer protection and telecommunication laws
  • Work with growth and product teams to provide legal counsel throughout the product lifecycle (development, launches, updates, changes, end-of-life)
  • Manage Starlink’s terms of service for residential and business products and services globally
  • Support continuous improvements of forms, policies, and processes to streamline deals and product/service terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to analyze legal risks, devise solutions, and develop trusted advisor relationships

Qualifications

  • JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school
  • 4+ years of legal experience
