About the role

Construction Technician position at SpaceX in Starbase, TX. Responsible for framing, building, operating equipment, performing earthwork, basic concrete tasks, and supporting MEP projects, with emphasis on safety and collaboration with design teams.

Responsibilities

  • Frame fences, stairs, decks, walls, floors, sheds, concrete forms, and other structures
  • Construct and support various MEP projects
  • Use equipment to perform earthwork, demo, clearing and cleaning
  • Use hand and measurement tools and manual equipment (saws, squares, shovels, etc.)
  • Support various landscaping projects
  • Layout, installation, repair, finishing, maintaining various structures, fixtures and buildings
  • Basic concrete work and repair on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and patios
  • Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and other heavy equipment
  • Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times
  • Keep tools, materials and equipment in working condition
  • Advise in the selection of building materials; requisitions building materials and supplies
  • Transport various heavy materials in vehicles

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years of residential/commercial/civil construction experience
