About the role

Part-time contract role to grow Virta's member engagement by coordinating local meet-ups, managing the online member community, and sourcing member stories to support communications and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Support three main initiatives through a 12-week sprint: Member Meet-Up Program, Member Community Management, and Member Stories & Advocacy.
  • Member Meet-Up Program: recruit, onboard and support members to organize local meet-ups; coordinate outreach campaigns, RSVP management, and follow-up; maintain documentation and become primary contact for engaged members; evaluate and improve program efficiency and scalability.
  • Member Community Management: monitor and respond to social channels, escalate issues per care process, track and resolve social care cases, share feedback with Communications and Member teams, enforce privacy standards.
  • Member Stories & Advocacy: identify members for marketing initiatives, coordinate outreach and approvals, maintain an internal library of stories, track permissions and status, nurture long-term advocate relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience coordinating community programs, ambassador programs, customer events
  • Experience working directly with customers or members in a relationship-focused role
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns or collecting customer testimonials
  • Passion for health, wellness, and helping people build meaningful connections
  • Experience with social media community management or customer care platforms (e.g., Sprout Social) and program management tools including Google Suite; familiarity with tracking/GEO tools like Amplitude or Ahrefs
  • Comfort navigating sensitive health-related conversations with empathy and good judgment
  • Proactive use of AI tools to improve output and efficiency
