About the role

Tech Lead to join Aqua's server team, responsible for developing Aqua's management console — a multi-component system with REST APIs, web UI, and large-scale data processing. Focuses on full-stack contribution across SQL, business logic, background processes, and API development in a predominantly Linux environment. Office presence in Hyderabad with a minimum of 3 days/week onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Aqua's management console across the entire application stack (SQL queries, business logic, background processes, REST APIs, web-based UI).
  • Write features for a multi-component system with large-scale data processing and background jobs.
  • Contribute to on-premise components in customers' cloud environments as well as SaaS components and plugins for CI/CD systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and build multi-component microservices with efficient inter-service communication.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience delivering features for large-scale, distributed applications.
  • Proven experience designing and building multi-component systems / microservices with efficient inter-service communication patterns.
  • Strong programming background in Go, Node.js, Java, or similar high-level languages (Go in production or memory-leak debugging experience is a plus).
  • Experienced in building and maintaining APIs (REST or RPC) with ownership of backward-compatibility decisions.
  • Passion for modern engineering practices, open-source ecosystems, and scalable software in real customer environments.
