About the role

Senior Software Engineer to join Aqua Security's server team, developing the management console and contributing across the full application stack (SQL, business logic, background processes, REST APIs, and web UI) for a cloud-native security platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features across the entire application stack for Aqua's management console (SQL queries, business logic, background processes, REST APIs, web-based UI)
  • Work on multi-component system with background jobs and large-scale data processing
  • Write code for large enterprises (banks, government agencies, multinational brands)
  • Contribute to components deployed on-premise and in cloud environments, including SaaS components and CI/CD plugins
  • Work with Go for backend, VueJS for frontend, and Linux-based environments
  • Collaborate on containerized deployment environments (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
  • Participate in AI/GenAI related development to boost productivity and engineering workflows (nice-to-have)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience delivering features in large-scale applications or core systems
  • Experience building multi-component systems or micro-services with efficient inter-application communication
  • Proficiency in a high-level language such as Go, Node.js, or Java; Go/Node.js experience a big plus
  • Experience with Vue.js or React.js and TypeScript
  • Experience designing APIs (RESTful or RPCs)
  • Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Couchbase); GraphDB a bonus
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS)
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Experience in cloud development such as Serverless/Lambda/SNS/SQS/EC2/S3
  • Linux proficiency; Kafka experience a plus
  • Docker experience; Kubernetes/OpenShift a plus
  • Strong ownership of software lifecycle and ability to work in a distributed environment
  • GenAI tools familiarity and AI-enabled development experience (preferred)
