About the role

Technical Services Engineers solve complex MongoDB problems for large customers, combining deep MongoDB expertise with problem solving, customer service, and collaboration across teams. Hybrid role based in Gurugram with Sunday-Thursday work week.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex customer challenges related to architecture, performance, recovery, security, and related topics for large MongoDB deployments
  • Serve as an expert on best practices for running MongoDB at scale
  • Advocate for customers' needs by interfacing with product management and development teams
  • Contribute to internal projects including development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience (self-taught and curious candidates welcome)
  • Strong technical experience in multiple areas (systems engineering, Kubernetes, networking, storage, production database systems)
  • Ability to read code and have basic coding/scripting capability in one or more languages (Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, etc.)
  • Desire and ability to rapidly learn a wide variety of new technical skills
  • Operations background with experience managing large-scale production environments (optional but preferred)
  • Genuine desire to help people, calm under pressure, and collaborative team mindset
