About the role

MongoDB Professional Services (PS) role focused on delivering technically sophisticated solutions for customers, across lifecycle stages, with hybrid work in Berlin. The role combines deep technical work with customer management, training, and collaboration with product/engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to customer implementations at various phases of the application lifecycle (portfolio assessment, design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, optimization, and best practices adoption)
  • Deliver customer classroom-based training to architect, developer and operations roles
  • Work as part of a delivery team with consulting engineers, project managers and account teams
  • Cultivate MongoDB reputation as a trusted advisor for customers
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to influence the product roadmap
  • Travel up to 20% in normal circumstances and when clients prefer in-person meetings

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software development/consulting/support experience in multiple industries/verticals
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, development methodologies, and deployment/operations
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Java, C++, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Perl, Scala, Go
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning a plus
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • High motivation for roles combining deep technical and customer-management dimensions
  • Confident in speaking and presenting in customer settings
  • Fluency in English and German
