About the role

Staff Product Manager responsible for the MongoDB Partner Platform, including the Partner API, onboarding, enterprise controls, marketplace/discovery, and partner-managed experiences. Role focuses on aligning humans, machines, and partners to make MongoDB the default database for AI-native software.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the MongoDB Partner Platform, starting with the Partner API and evolving toward a scalable, self-serve partner experience
  • Turn partner and customer needs into clear product bets, sequencing near-term delivery against a long-term platform strategy
  • Build the next phases of the Partner API, including self-serve onboarding, enterprise and administrator controls, partner-managed account creation and billing, partner discovery, and high-quality integration bar
  • Establish a repeatable operating model for partner intake, design-partner engagement, integration support, launch readiness, documentation, incident response, and post-launch learning
  • Partner deeply with cross-functional teams (Partner, IAM, Billing, Security, Engineering, Design, Docs, Analytics, Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Services) to align outcomes
  • Work with strategic AI-native partners and cloud platforms to understand users, business models, constraints, and adoption levers
  • Ensure platform is usable by both humans and agents, with accessible APIs, observability, security, and resilience
  • Define metrics to show value (e.g., partner activation, time to first successful integration, adoption, revenue impact)
  • Create clear product narratives and communicate strategy to executives, engineering teams, partners, customers, and field stakeholders
  • Represent ABX and MongoDB externally as a credible voice on AI-native product development and partner platforms

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management or equivalent experience with ownership of complex technical products, platforms, APIs, developer tools, ecosystems, or partner integrations
  • Demonstrated success taking a product or platform from ambiguous opportunity through launch and growth
  • Deep technical fluency: APIs, authentication/authorization, distributed systems, platform boundaries, data flows, reliability, security trade-offs
  • Experience building products for developers, technical users, AI-native workflows, or platform ecosystems; direct experience with AI agents or agent frameworks preferred
  • Clear POV on building for human developers vs. AI agents, including API/tooling/docs/observability considerations
  • Strong partner/customer instincts with ability to translate external needs into strategy
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and align teams without direct authority
  • Comfort balancing speed, security, quality, enterprise requirements, and long-term platform health
  • Strong analytical judgment and outcome-driven mindset even when revenue is indirect
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey trade-offs from engineering to executives
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI-native development and hands-on use of AI tools
