About the role

12-week summer internship at Coinbase focused on helping researchers, designers, and product managers understand user needs across products like Coinbase Cloud and developer tools; involves planning and executing research, delivering actionable reports, and translating insights into product experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own one or more research projects alongside researchers, designers, and product managers to investigate a product problem or area
  • Plan and execute research to solve complex, ambiguous product questions using appropriate methodologies
  • Deliver research reports that clearly communicate findings and provide actionable design and product recommendations
  • Partner with cross-functional teammates to translate user insights into thoughtful product experiences that help people engage with the crypto economy

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a career in user research through a degree in a research-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of general research principles (experimental design, bias, confounds) and UX research principles (usability testing, design thinking)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly, supported by a final report from a past research project (school, bootcamp, or extracurricular) uploaded with your application
  • Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and Coinbase's role in the crypto economy, with interest in learning more
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
