About the role

Role within Meta's APAC network infrastructure group focusing on subsea cable investments, capacity and dark fiber leases, and associated network development and construction to expand global backbone infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop supply strategies, including joint build efforts with partner organizations with similar connectivity needs
  • Manages a portfolio of subsea systems and fiber infrastructure suppliers globally, with a focus on APAC
  • Identifies suppliers, negotiates commercial terms, and works with engineering and legal to negotiate and execute supplier contracts
  • Drive end-to-end execution of complex infrastructure projects across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Manage and develop partner relationships across a diverse range of countries
  • Oversee performance and management of contracts through the full lifecycle, tracking supplier compliance, processing invoices, and handling contract variances and renegotiation
  • Understand subsea and telecom wholesale markets' developments and position Meta accordingly
  • Represent the Meta network team in conferences and trade shows
  • Maintain familiarity with market players and price trends to secure competitive terms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network requirements and acquisition strategies; generate investment analyses and recommendations
  • Work with finance, planning, Accounting, and Accounts Payable on budgets, forecasts, and long-range investment plans; ensure accurate invoicing and accounting compliance
  • Accommodate pre-planned travel as required

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc or equivalent in a technical or business-related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in subsea cables, fiber infrastructure, and familiarity with evolving carrier market trends
