About the role

Role focused on designing and implementing automation for monitoring and maintaining the health and safety of Muon Space's satellite fleet, executing satellite operation procedures, troubleshooting anomalies, and coordinating satellite maneuvers.

Responsibilities

  • Building and implementing automation solutions for spacecraft and ground station operations for flawless execution of simultaneous missions
  • Collaborate with engineers to execute satellite operation plans and maintain continuity of satellite services
  • Analyze telemetry data and health reports to assess performance and proactively implement preventive measures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies and malfunctions to restore satellite functionality promptly
  • Plan and coordinate satellite maneuvers, including orbit corrections and station-keeping
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new satellites into the fleet and ensure smooth transition from launch to operational phase

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of project or industry experience operating or automating complex systems
  • Experience with Python, Julia, or another high-level scripting language
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
