About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Electrical Integration Systems Engineer with edge compute and communications focus, requiring active security clearance. Location: Costa Mesa, California. The role emphasizes end-to-end system development, hardware-software integration, and compliance with quality/regulatory standards within autonomous, edge-enabled defense platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development for an end-to-end solution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture
  • Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context
  • Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
  • Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • A passion for systems design, development, integration, and testing
  • 12+ years of industry experience including but not limited to electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or systems engineering
  • Comfort with systems modeling tools such as Cameo
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to operate effectively in an Agile development environment
  • Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience of complex robotic systems
  • Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks using a common language (eg, Python, MATLAB, etc)
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, and excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% as needed for test planning and execution, and excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA the rest of the time!
