About the role

Automation Technician focusing on smart Torque Tools to deploy, configure, and maintain automated manufacturing tooling and processes across Anduril factories.

Responsibilities

  • Physically deploy, mount, wire, and integrate automation equipment, atlas copco torque tools, tool stands, and tooling hardware across production lines
  • Program and configure Atlas Copco Power Focus and MicroTorque systems to exact engineering specifications
  • Diagnose production floor issues, troubleshoot tightening failures, and optimize tightening programs (Psets)
  • Analyze tightening curves and graphs to diagnose torque vs. angle anomalies, cross-threading, and joint relaxation
  • Train manufacturing technicians and operators on the proper handling and safety of smart tools
  • Maintain tooling health and calibration records to ensure continuous reliability and minimize downtime

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics manufacturing with precision assembly systems
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Atlas Copco Power Focus controllers and MicroTorque systems
  • Proven experience setting up workstations, routing cables, and physically deploying assembly line hardware
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze a tightening trace and identify failure modes
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, as well as stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces to install hardware
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
