About the role

High-performance, experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join a team responsible for the reliability and performance of Fivetran’s infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and incident response in a hybrid work model based in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall performance and reliability of Fivetran’s infrastructure, robustness of the deployment pipeline, and incident response/resolution
  • Maintain ongoing reliability and robustness of production infrastructure by monitoring availability, capacity, and throughput
  • Evolve systems by integrating reliability into the product roadmap
  • Coordinate re-prioritization or fixing critical bugs for support or sales requirements
  • Make recommendations to production infrastructure to ensure 100% availability
  • Ensure scalable artifact deployment to all environments via automation scripts
  • Monitor infrastructure vulnerabilities and remediate in collaboration with the security team

Qualifications

  • Expertise in managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms and related tooling: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), Terraform, Ansible, Buildkite, Pulumi and ArgoCD
  • Experience in Python/Shell scripting and Go; Java is a bonus
  • Experience with Linux operating systems internals and administration
  • Experience with cloud networking (Site-to-Site VPNs, Privatelinks, Private Service Connect in GCP)
  • AI-assisted engineering experience using AI tools for code review, automation, incident analysis, documentation, and reducing operational toil
