About the role

Senior network engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SpaceX campus, data center, and wireless networks with emphasis on reliability, security, and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of large-scale, complex wired and wireless networks.
  • Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
  • Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking-related issues.
  • Support the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1X.
  • Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
  • Plan and prepare project roadmaps.
  • Develop network automation tools to support our enterprise network.
  • Monitor network health using in-house and third-party tools.
  • Create and maintain proper documentation of our networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 7+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 10+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
