About the role

Technical Account Manager (TAM) at MongoDB focused on solving complex customer problems, guiding large accounts, and expanding MongoDB adoption by providing architectural, performance, security, and operational guidance across the MongoDB product portfolio. Early hire to pioneer the new TAM function with hybrid working in Gurugram.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with a handful of large customers and build strong technical relationships with their leaders
  • Collaborate on customer projects to build and scale MongoDB solutions
  • Resolve questions and demonstrate solutions related to architecture, performance, recovery, security, and other topics
  • Act as the eyes and ears of the product team, surfacing new requirements and opportunities for future development
  • Mentor and ramp new team members and build knowledge of new product lines
  • Educate customers on crucial topics, conduct deep dives or connect customers with subject matter experts
  • Shift between enabling, coaching, and marshaling resources to deliver timely outcomes
  • Work around customer schedules to accommodate 100% uptime systems while maintaining work-life balance
  • Operate in hybrid model based in Gurugram (India) as an early hire in the TAM function

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communicator with ability to adapt style for different audiences
  • Collaborator with ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Problem solver with calm, authoritative technical leadership during escalations
  • Technical expert in production database systems, cloud services, and large-scale enterprise environments
  • Experience with modern service architectures and development patterns
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience building, maintaining, optimizing MongoDB or similar databases
  • Experience with building techniques/tools to optimize customer relationships and developer data platforms
