About the role

CapEx Sourcing Manager for Meta's Reality Labs division responsible for developing, communicating and executing the global CAPEX equipment sourcing strategy, managing cross-functional partnerships, negotiating commercial terms, and driving cost optimization for off-the-shelf and customized manufacturing and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and execute Reality Labs global CAPEX equipment sourcing and management strategy
  • Identify and engage the CAPEX equipment partners to enable cutting-edge technologies and products with high quality, on-time delivery, and competitive cost
  • Develop partner selection strategy with cross-functional stakeholders, including RFQ/RFP, sourcing strategy and final supplier selection
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to meet technical, operational and commercial requirements, including after-sales services
  • Negotiate NRE and unit cost to ensure competitive cost for our products. Actively look for cost optimization opportunities and lead cross-functional effort to achieve it
  • Actively drive analysis of historical spend data and suggest savings opportunities maximizing financial impact for future products and provide expertise for developing budgets
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our partners’ capability to grow business
  • Enable the cross-functional team to collaborate with their counterparts on the partner side to ensure open, efficient and professional relationships
  • Participate in hiring, training, developing, and share best practices in executing CAPEX management strategy and achieving significant cost improvements
  • Up to 20% travel may be required (domestic/international)

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Technical BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in custom equipment and fixture development & sourcing, in the consumer electronics industry
  • Experience in injection molding & tooling cost analysis
  • Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, assessing technical specifications, functional features and cost trade-offs
  • Experience with custom equipment should cost models, cost negotiation and supply base management
  • Experience with pricing and sourcing of key equipment components
  • Understanding of factory operations in the consumer electronics industry
  • Program management, and cross-functional teamwork experience
