About the role

Meta is seeking a Product Accounting Manager within the Global Corporate Accounting team to own accounting and operational integration for partner payables across a product portfolio (music royalties, commerce, cloud gaming). Responsible for US GAAP compliance, month-end close, and process improvements, while overseeing an off-shore team and collaborating with Product and Engineering on system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a corporate accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and B/S)
  • Ensure an accurate and timely US GAAP month-end close by performing and reviewing accounting transactions including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end close
  • Partner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems, and controls
  • Coach and develop the offshore team, and ensure they deliver accurate, timely work in accordance with SOPs
  • Assist with the implementation of the new accounting policy, including related new controls
  • Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle
  • Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to statutory compliance teams
  • Lead projects to identify, design, test, and roll out new financial reporting systems and tools
  • Prepare, review and deliver royalty reporting to rights holders on a monthly and quarterly cycle
  • Support external rights holders' audits conducted under contractual audit provisions, coordinating documentation, responses, and remediation of findings

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field (in progress or completed)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the accounting profession
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices
  • Experience with end-to-end systems impacting accounting processes and scaling financial operations
  • Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or reviews
  • Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience working independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidance
