About the role

Moritz is an AI-native law firm building the agents that perform legal work. The Founding Full-Stack Engineer will join the founding engineering team in San Francisco to iterate on and scale agentic systems that draft, review, and negotiate contracts, handling hundreds to thousands of matters daily with lawyers close by.

Responsibilities

  • Shaping features end to end: understand the problem with lawyers, build it, ship it, and get feedback the same day
  • Build functional and beautiful client surfaces for intake, communication with counsel, and delivery of results
  • Iterate on the lawyers' agentic workspace: review queues, redline and diff views, agent chat surfaces, citations, and controls to approve, edit or escalate in seconds
  • Build operations tooling including dashboards, automations and integrations with Slack, email, document and e-signature platforms, and payment and billing providers
  • Improve evals, observability and infrastructure to ensure agents are trustworthy and reliable at scale
  • Take part in shaping architecture and engineering standards and the team
  • Collaborate closely with founders, CEO, COO, and lawyers to ship impactful features

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience
  • Product-minded full-stack engineer
  • Shipped agentic systems to production and can share war stories
  • Maintained and evolved a large codebase over years at a company past the prototype stage
  • Ability to work in-person in San Francisco, with founders and lawyers
