About the role

Technical writer to partner with intelligence systems engineering to generate and maintain engineering and developer-focused technical documentation across the full development lifecycle, supporting IC-focused products and national security missions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and edit documentation, that is user-focused and of the highest quality.
  • Documentation covers full development lifecycle – from planning and design to technical configuration, deployment, and integration
  • Work with engineering to ship user-friendly documentation that informs, instructs, and enhances user experience.
  • Contribute to Anduril’s technical writing toolkit, including style guides and documentation lifecycle/review processes.
  • Build partnerships across the business to understand users and products.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation for various levels of technical audiences for a variety of product types.
  • Reading and interpreting software and hardware user documentation for complex technical products and a structured certification process.
  • Clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication skills for audiences from highly technical to lay person.
  • Mission-first mindset focused on national and allied defense capabilities.
  • Adaptability in unstructured environments; ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
  • Collaborations with engineering SMEs and program management to translate technical concepts into clear documentation.
  • Passion for excellent documentation and user experience; curiosity for new technology.
  • Basic development proficiency and ability to apply software development best practices to documentation systems.
  • High level of autonomy and responsibility; ability to manage competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to streamline or augment existing processes using AI.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance (or ability to maintain).
  • Subject to pre-employment and randomized substance screening.
