About the role

Firmware Engineer role based in Costa Mesa, CA developing low-level firmware for microcontrollers and working with hardware and software teams to support systems across land, sea, and air.

Responsibilities

  • Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers
  • Create reusable device drivers and integrate system-level features
  • Architect changes to support an ever-growing codebase
  • Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundaries
  • Collaborate and review schematics with the electrical engineering team

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
  • Able to start full time in 2027.
